It is a clinical syndrome of cerebral deficit lasting 24 hours or more which can lead to death due lack of blood and oxygen to the tissues causing necrosis.
Stroke is broadly classified into 3 types:
1. Ischemic stroke
2. Hemorrhagic stroke
3. Transient ischemic attack
