The Department of Science and Technology has been spearheading several initiatives with an aim to bring gender parity in science. KIRAN - Direction is designed to provide an integrated enabling and supportive framework for gender mainstreaming of Women in Science, technology and innovation.
The Scheme pertains to the gender parity and is aimed to invest into talented women scientists and technologists base in a planned manner, with a mind-set of leveraging their potentials and knowledge strength into the developmental processes of the country.
