Translational research is the mechanism by which laboratory study is applied to clinical experiments and the adoption of evidence-driven methods in real-world environments reaching large audiences. Translational research provides a crucial pivot point after clinical trials as well.
There are three types of research are applied. First, T1 research tests findings from basic research for clinical effect and/or applicability. Second, T2 research tests new interventions in controlled environments to form the basis for clinical application and evidence-based guidelines.
